Mission of the InterHub of Gdańsk University of Technology
The mission of the International Relations Hub of Gdańsk University of Technology (GdańskTech) is to strengthen the University's Internationalisation through partnership-based cooperation with faculties and stakeholders, the coordination of strategic international activities within the framework of the University's strategy, and the creation of a welcoming, professional, and coherent environment for students, staff, and international partners. The Hub acts as an orchestrator and catalyst of internationalisation processes, supporting the development of education, research, and academic mobility, while respecting the autonomy of faculties and the diversity of their needs.
Identifying internationalisation needs and building relationships
The International Relations Hub serves as the central coordination point for international activities at Gdańsk University of Technology. We work with faculties, students, administrative staff, and external partners to identify needs and, together with international partners, identify key development directions and support their prioritisation. Our activities are not based on universal templates, but on the actual needs and potential of the University and its units. At the same time, we actively build and maintain international relations with partner universities, academic networks, funding bodies, and international organisations. We create space for meetings, dialogue, and cooperation, strengthening GdańskTech's position as a reliable and recognisable partner on the international stage.
Indicating directions and initiating international cooperation
Based on identified needs and strategic objectives, we initiate and coordinate activities in the field of internationalisation of education, research, and academic mobility. We support the development of international partnerships, collaborative educational programmes and study pathways, and initiatives within academic alliances and networks. We help connect faculties, research teams, and administrative units into coherent and effective structures for international cooperation. As a result, internationalisation becomes a conscious, well-planned process tailored to the profile and ambitions of individual units.
Supporting students, researchers, and staff
The International Relations Hub provides comprehensive support to students, doctoral candidates, academic, and administrative staff involved in international activities. We offer organisational, procedural, and informational assistance. We develop procedures and tools in close cooperation with the staff, document templates, and effective communication channels. Our goal is to simplify processes and create conditions in which internationalisation is accessible, understandable, and achievable for the entire GdańskTech academic community. We treat internationalisation as a shared responsibility across academic and administrative communities.
