Gdańsk Tech established cooperation with Nanjing University | Gdańsk University of Technology

Nanjing University is an important cooperating university partner in China and maintains position 73. in the prestigious Times Higher Education World University Ranking (2023 edition).

The meeting was attended by the President of NJU Prof. Tan Zhe-min, as well as Prof. Lu Andong (Vice Dean of the School of Architecture and Urban Planning), Prof. Cheng Wei (Department of Mathematics), Dr. LI Xiaorong (Director of the Office of International Affairs), and Ms. Hong Yuxing (Deputy Chief for Global Engagement and Partnership). Representatives of Gdansk Tech were Rector Prof. Krzysztof Wilde, Vice-Rector Prof. Janusz Nieznanski (Vice-Rector for Internationalization), Prof. Christian Jungnickel (Rectors Representative for Cooperation with Asian Higher Education Institutions), Prof. Jakub Szczepański (Vice Dean of Science of Faculty of Architecture), Prof. Paweł Możejko (Director of the Institute of Physics and Applied Computer Science), Mrs. Monika Czerepak (Deputy Head in the International Relations Office) and Mrs. Rong Li (Liasion of Asian Affairs of the International Relations Office).

During the meeting, the potential of future collaboration was recognized, and possible methods of enhancing the cooperation were agreed upon, including student exchange agreements, and enhancing cooperation through joint research projects. As part of the successful meeting, the leaders of the universities signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
