Funding for student group mobility to Germany - apply (deadline: 1.02)

DAAD scholarships
German Academic Exchange Service (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst / DAAD) invites academic teachers to apply for student group funding for mobility to Germany. Nearest intake lasts until 1 February. 

The program offered by DAAD to interdisciplinary student groups (under supervision of academic teachers), enables the students to establish and maintain contact with German universities, to exchange knowledge and experiences during their mobility to at least two universities, to meet with German academic teachers and students, and to learn information on German economy, politics and culture. Visited companies and institutions have to be connected to the fields of study of the mobility participants. 


Who can participate in the program?

Groups of students (from 10 to 15 persons) from one field of study or one science club, from second semester of 1st cycle studies and all semesters of 2nd cycle studies, and one academic teacher (full-time university employee).


Duration

From 10 to 12 days. 


What does the mobility program have to include?

The mobility program has to cover longer visits to at least two German universities, during which students attend lectures and practical classes, meet German teachers and students, and participate in presentations and discussions. The evenings and weekends are planned for tourist activities.


Funding amount

The funding amounts to 50 euro per travel day for each participant (apart from maximum 15 students, only one academic teacher receives the funding).


How to apply for funding?

The applications are submitted by the academic teachers of Polish universitites. Template application form is available here. Completed application form shall be sent to the following e-mail address: szmurlo@daad.de.

What should the application include?

  1. university information, mobility dates, list of participants, including information about their education and knowledge of German and English, as well as a list and addresses of universities, institutions, companies to be visited; 
  2. reason: precise presentation of motive and aim of the mobility, and institutions to be visited (free form, in German); 
  3. detailed presentation of the mobility program, including time, place and character of meetings, 
  4. copies/scans of official invitations, including time, place and character of the meetings (do not attach the entire e-mail correspondence); 
  5. funding plan.


Information meeting

On Thursday, 18 January at 6: p.m., DAAD invites to join an online meeting, during which the coordinator of the program, Paulina Szmurło will talk about how to apply for the funding and will reply to all your questions. Link to the meeting (earlier registration not required).
