Junior Research Award 2025-26
  • Applications are open until September 6, 2024.

The Fulbright Junior Research Award 2025-26 is designed for Polish citizens preparing their doctoral dissertations in Polish academic institutions. The scholarship, lasting from 4 to 10 months, aims at conducting individual research projects in American universities, non-profit research institutions, or non-governmental organizations in the USA, related to the theme of the doctoral dissertation being prepared. Applications are accepted from all fields except projects requiring direct patient contact. Additionally, applications for a 10-month Fulbright Research Award at Stanford University School of Medicine 2024-25 are also accepted within the Junior Research Award competition.


Fulbright Research Award at Stanford University School of Medicine 2025-26
  • Applications are open until September 6, 2024.

The Fulbright Research Award at Stanford University School of Medicine 2025-26 is for Polish citizens preparing their doctoral dissertations in Polish academic institutions in fields such as cellular, molecular, or structural biology, biochemistry, biophysics, or related areas, excluding projects requiring direct patient contact. The scholarship, lasting from 8 to 10 months, aims at conducting individual research projects at Stanford University School of Medicine related to the theme of the doctoral dissertation being prepared. This scholarship is part of the Junior Research Award program and is offered in collaboration with the Rogala Lab.


Graduate Student Award 2025-26
  • Applications are open until April 22, 2024.

The Fulbright Graduate Student Award 2025-26 is for Polish citizens interested in pursuing second or third-cycle studies in the USA. It provides funding for the first year of study up to $47,000, with the possibility of extension for another year. Applications are accepted for all fields of study except medical studies requiring direct patient contact, LLM (Master of Laws) programs, and MBA (Master of Business Administration) programs, except for the LLM in International Human Rights Law program co-financed by the Commission in cooperation with the University of Notre Dame. Travel is possible to any accredited higher education institution. Applicants must hold a Master's degree by June of the departure year.


Graduate Student Award LLM in International Human Rights Law at the University of Notre Dame 2025-26
  • Applications are open until April 22, 2024.

New! As part of the Graduate Student Award competition, applicants can apply for a one-year scholarship to study LLM in International Human Rights Law at the University of Notre Dame. Applicants must hold a Master's degree in law and Polish citizenship. The scholarship is offered in collaboration with the Law School of the University of Notre Dame. The program covers civil and political rights, global racial justice, religious freedom, international criminal law concerning mass crimes and authoritarianism, as well as aspects of economic, social, and cultural rights related to global poverty challenges, sustainable development, cross-border human rights abuses by corporations, climate change, and environmental degradation, among others. The requirements and selection procedure remain the same as for candidates for the Graduate Student Award program.


Senior Award 2025-26
  • Applications are open until June 5, 2024.

The Fulbright Senior Award 2025-26 enables Polish citizens employed in Polish academic and research institutions to carry out independent research or research and teaching projects at a host institution in the USA (i.e., American universities, non-profit research institutions, or government institutions). The scholarship, lasting from 3 to 10 months, is aimed at researchers and educators at all stages of their careers after obtaining a doctoral degree. Applications are accepted from all fields except projects requiring direct patient contact.


STEM Impact Award 2024-25
  • Applications are open until May 20, 2024.

The Fulbright STEM Impact Award 2024-25 is for Polish citizens leading research projects in STEM areas and employed in Polish academic and research institutions. The scholarship allows for the implementation of short-term (2-6 weeks) research, teaching, or research and teaching projects and for expanding knowledge in science commercialization or effective grant writing in institutions in the USA. The scholarship is intended for researchers and educators with experience in managing research projects and supervising the work of other scientists.
