Summer school on sustainability
Are you interested in topics related to sustainable development, including renewable energy sources, recycling, and waste management? Take part in the summer school organized by 6 universities in Germany. Registration is open until April 14th.

SustainMV – the summer school on sustainability – will take place this year for the fourth time. In the last three years it has welcomed more than 620 participants in our online format and nearly 60 on-site in the past two years. 40 different speakers presented their scientific perspective on sustainability.

This one of a kind event, is jointly organised by the Higher Education Institutions of our region, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The overarching theme is Sustainability in the fields of Tourism, Renewable Energies, Digital & Technological Innovations, Recycling & Waste Management, Ecosystems and Social Sustainability, showcasing opportunities for transformation through science and education for a sustainable future.

  • online (introduction to the subject ): from August 27th until August 29th
  • on-site: from September 3rd until September 13th

On-site: Hochschule Stralsund – University of Applied Sciences


Organizers 

SustainMV is jointly presented by all universities in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: University of Rostock, University of Applied Sciences Stralsund, University of Greifswald, University of Applied Sciences Neubrandenburg, University of Applied Sciences, Technology, Business and Design Wismar and University of Music and Drama Rostock. 


Participants

International Bachelor as well as Master Students in any sustainability related subject area. Please beware you need an English level of at least B2 to follow the programme.


Costs
  • Online programme: free of charge.
  • On-site programme: tuition and accommodation are covered.
  • A registration fee of 100€ will be charged after successful application.

Students of Gdańsk University of Technology have the opportunity to receive funding for their trip through the Erasmus+ program. Please note that Gdańsk University of Technology can provide funding for up to 5 students' trips. The order of applications received will determine the selection. ECTS points

Participating in the online + on-site part of SustainMV is accredited with 4 ECTS.
