Support staff of Gdańsk University of Technology have an opportunity to go abroad to attend a training course as part of the Erasmus+ programme.
How many times can you leave?
Pursuant to the "Rules for the allocation of funding for mobility projects in the higher education sector in the Erasmus+ Program for the 2022 call for proposals” when organizing staff mobility, the university is bound by the following guidelines:
- giving preference to staff leaving for the first time;
- giving preference to teaching and support staff with shorter work experience;
- giving preference to teaching and support staff bound by an employment contract with the university;
- preferring staff trips to improve didactic or digital competencies.
In order to enable mobility for people who have not previously benefited from the Erasmus+ program in the first place, there are restrictions on the number of trips in the current agreement. An employee may go on training financed by the Erasmus+ program up to two times a year.
Countries you can travel to
1. program countries (EU countries, Norway, Iceland, Serbia, Liechtenstein, North Macedonia, Turkey)
2. partner countries (other countries of the world with whom Gdańsk Tech has signed agreements)
The main differences between traveling to program countries and partner countries are:
1. the duration of your stay:
- program countries: min. 2 – max. 60 days
- partner countries: min. 5 – max. 60 days
2. funding period:
- program countries: max. 5 days of training*
- partner countries: funding for the max. 5 days of training + 2 days of trip
*the trip may last longer (max. 60 days), but the subsidy is granted for max. 5 days
3. amount of funding:
- program countries: funding depends on the country (140-180 euros per day)
- partner countries: one rate for all countries (180 euros per day)
The procedure of leaving for a training course to program countries and partner countries is the same.
Trip funding
Funding (training courses and classes) includes individual support and a lump sum for travelling costs.
Individual support:
| country | subsidy |
|---|---|
| group I: program countries - Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Irland, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Italy | 190 euro per day |
| group II: program countries - Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Spain, Latvia, Malta, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia | 170 euro per day |
| group III: program countries - Bulgaria, Croatia, Lithuania, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Turkey, Hungary, Poland | 148 euro per day |
| partner countries: other countries with whom Gdańsk Tech has signed agreeements | 190 euro per day |
Lump sum for travelling costs: to calculate the lump sum for the trip, go to distance calculator and enter the departure and destination location in which you will participate in the training course or conduct classes (e.g. Gdańsk-Barcelona). The calculator will calculate the straight line distance between the cities. Then it is necessary to check in the table which lump sum the employee is entitled to receive. The lump sum is calculated in the same way, regardless of whether you want to travel to programme or partner countries.
🌿 Employees who choose to travel using a green means of transport — train, bus, or carpooling — are eligible for additional funding for their trip.
