CDIO™ Initiative is a community founded by leading technical schools in the USA, Europe, Canada, Great Britain, Africa, Asia and New Zealand in response to the requirements for future engineers. Members of the CDIO Initiative community (currently over 120 universities around the world) deal with the development, implementation and promotion of CDIO standards in curricula (CDIO for "Conceive - Design - Implement - Operate"; the main assumption of this idea is to create curricula in such a way as to move center of gravity of learning outcomes from knowledge to skills). The organization is led by Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg.
