Dr. Satish Bykkam is currently positioned as an Associate Professor (by Research) supported by the Nobelium grant at the Faculty of Applied Physics and Mathematics, Gdansk University of Technology, Poland. He has research expertise in the field of Solar Cells {Perovskite Solar Cells (PSCs) & Dye Sensitized Solar Cells (DSSCs)} and devices including design, fabrication, testing, and characterization. He has full Hands-on skills in physical/chemical deposition techniques for thin film solar cell fabrication. He is granted ARGENTUM Triggering Research Grants (DEC/17/1/2023/IDUB/13b/Ag) as a Principal Investigator (PI) Project Title: Fabrication of Translucent Perovskite Solar Cells for Application in 4-Terminal Perovskite-Silicon Tandem Solar Cells with High Efficiency and Stability.
He has finished his Ph.D. degree (Nanoscience and Technology) at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH), Telangana state, India. During his Ph.D. program, he got a Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship (RGNF) funded by the University Grant Commission (UGC), from the Government of India. The fellowship helped him complete his Ph.D. program.  Dr. Satish Bykkam has 5 years of industrial research experience in the field of perovskite solar cells. He worked as a Senior Research Scientist and Research Scientist in the R & D Department, Energy, and Environment Research Group in IMRA JAPAN Co. Ltd (Formerly Aisin Cosmos R & D Co. Ltd) a Toyota Group Company in Japan. After that, he has done several research positions such as Visiting Scientist (University of Hyderabad (UoH)-India), Principal Research Associate (Centre for Materials for Electronics Technology (C-MET), Govt of India), and Senior Research Associate (Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT-B), India. He completed several research projects on perovskite solar cells, namely the Design, Development, and Fabrication of Hole Transport Materials (HTMs) for Perovskite Solar Cells, the Development, and Fabrication of Highly Stable Lead-Free Perovskite  Solar Cells (PSCs), Fabrication of low-cost and stable, Hole Transport Material Free (HTL-Free)-Monolithic Perovskite Solar Cells (mPSCs) by Additive Solvent Engineering Method, HTL-Free monolithic fully printable stable and cost-effective large-area mesoscopic carbon perovskite solar cells (m-PSC). ). His academic journey has been recognized with the Inspired Fellowship by the Department of Science and Technology (DST)-Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, and he received the Post Graduate Merit Scholarship for Professional Courses by the University Grant Commission (UGC) of the Government of India during M. Tech.

He published 10 international scientific publications (H-index: 9, total citations: 466, Google Scholar) in SCI journals, and 3 patents are credited (one is granted).
