Jae-Ho Jeon was a Principal Research Scientist in the Department of Functional Materials at the Korea Institute of Materials Science (1995~2023) and a Full Professor of University of Science and Technology of Korea (2014~2023). He was an Adjunct Professor in Changwon National University, Korea (2007~2011), a Research Fellow of IRC at the Birmingham University, England (1996~1998), and a Research Fellow of Jozef Stefan Institute, Slovenia (2005). He was an NMP NCP (EU-FP) of Korea, Chair of the Third Korea-Slovenia Joint Workshop on Advanced Materials, Chair of the Korean-Polish Joint Workshop on Advanced Ceramics, and Chair of the A3+ Workshop on Lead-Free Piezoelectric Ceramics. He holds a PhD degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (1988~1993) and a Bachelor degree from Busan National University, Korea (1080~1984). His research primarily focused on microstructural control of functional ceramics and investigation of its effects on dielectric/piezoelectric properties. He has published more than 70 papers in journals, presented more than 160 times lectures including 27 times of plenary and invited lectures in international conferences. He had 16 patents.
He currently serves as a Research Professor within the Division of Thermal Power Systems at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology, located at Gdansk University of Technology in Poland. Presently, his research work focuses on the development of porous ceramics and piezo-pumps targeting applications in loop heat pipes operating at intermediate temperatures under the Nobelium Project of the Gdansk University of Technology (DEC 41/2023/IDUB/I.1 from July 15, 2023 to July 14, 2025).
