GUT academic partnerships supported under the 'Excellence Initiative - Research University':

List of projects implemented in cooperation with the Medical University of Gdańsk, which received funding from EIRU under the Combating Coronavirus program:

1. Research and development of new technologies to monitor the condition of patients with SARS-Cov2 infection in clinical and home settings.

Project leader: prof. Andrzej Czyżewski, PhD, DSc, Eng., Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Informatics, BioTechMed Center; 

2.Intelligent virucidal UV-C system for installation in universal coffer luminaires.

Project leader: Wojciech Wojnowski PhD, Eng., Faculty of Chemistry, BioTechMed Center; 

3. Rapid screening diagnosis of SARS Cov-2 infections by testing the exhaled air.

Project leader: prof. Janusz Smulko, PhD, DSc, Eng., Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Informatics, Digital Technologies Center and BioTechMed Center;

4. Backup respirator made on industrial components.

Project leader: Piotr Patrosz, PhD, Eng., Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, BioTechMed Center. 

5. Thermographic system for automatic monitoring of people with increased body temperature.

6. Design, synthesis and research on biological activity of new SARS-Cov-2 pro protease inhibitors as potential chemotherapeutic agents in the treatment of COVID-19.

7. Functionalized fiber optic sensor - optical method of SARS Cov-2 virus detection.
