The student houses of Gdańsk University of Technology are systematically adapted to the needs of people with special needs. All dormitories (except DS6, DS7, DS10) have an elevator.
In accordance with the Regulations of benefits for students of Gdańsk University of Technology, students with a certificate of disability, applying in the 1st or 2nd stage of the allocation of places, receive additional points when choosing a specific DS number, which gives them a better chance of getting their preferred dormitory. However, it is necessary to indicate this in the application and send a scan of the current decision by e-mail to the address of the Scholarship Committee. It is worth to provide information on the special needs of the student (it applies primarily to students with motor disabilities) in the appropriate field for comments. Thanks to this the Committee can individually consider the application and allocate the dormitory that best meets these needs.
Only students who received these places in the 1st or 2nd stage can apply for a specific room in a given dormitory. During the allocation of rooms, individual needs can also be listed and documented with appropriate medical documentation / decision, which will be considered by the Resident Council of the student dormitory.
All information related to applying for a place in the dormitory can be found in the news on the website of the Student Affairs Office and on the website dedicated to the dormitories of Gdańsk University of Technology.
