Dear Candidates,

regarding the Regulation No. 19/2024 on: the announcement of admission to the Doctoral School at Gdańsk University of Technology and the composition of the admission committees for the academic year 2024/2025, issued by the Rector, we are publishing information on the upcoming admission to the Doctoral School at Gdańsk University of Technology, conducted jointly with two institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Gdańsk - the Institute of Fluid-Flow Machinery and the Institute of Hydro-Engineering, which will be conducted under the Admissions Rules issued by Resolution of the Senate No. 413/2023/XXV dated November 22, 2023.

Information about the enrollment

Standard admission starts in two weeks - on Monday, April 22.

This will be the first time candidates will use Gdańsk Tech new electronic application (admissions / recruitment) system (eRecruitment), which was developed by Gdańsk Tech IT Service Center (CUI) staff in cooperation with the Doctoral School office.

Acceptance of applications to the Doctoral School in the eRecruitment system will last until May 13 (Monday), 11:00 AM. All documents required for the admission process should be attached to your application in the form of scans.

NOTE! During the week of 1-3.05.2024 the office will not be accepting documents or responding to emails - long weekend.

NOTE! Participation in admission to the Doctoral School requires a one-time and non-refundable payment of an application (admission) fee payable  to the account indicated in the admission system.

  • In case of standard enrolment the fee amounts to PLN 300

Before applying, candidates should familiarize themselves with all the content of the Candidates tab and published legal bases:

NOTE! Regulations regarding the Doctoral School have been prepared in Polish and then translated into English for information purposes only. The Polish version will prevail whenever there is a divergent interpretation between these texts.

Information on the Doctoral School and the number of places per discipline in the units forming the Doctoral School in the standard admission for the academic year 2024/2025.

The Doctoral School at Gdańsk University of Technology offers training in 14 disciplines conducted in English for free:

a) Disciplines in the field of social sciences: economics and finance [EiF], management and quality studies [ZiJ];

b) Disciplines in the field of exact and natural sciences: chemical sciences [NCh], physical sciences [NF], mathematics [M];

c) Disciplines in the field of engineering and technology: civil engineering, geodesy and transport [ILGiT], architecture and urban planning [AiU], environmental engineering, mining and energy [IŚGiE], materials engineering [IMa], mechanical engineering [IMe], automation, electronics, electrical engineering and space technologies [AEEiTK], information and communication technology [ITiT], biomedical engineering [IB], chemical engineering [ICh].
