The Doctoral Students’ Self-government Council of the Gdańsk Tech invites you to the events held in 2024. | Gdańsk University of Technology

At the end of April, our doctoral student self-governors (something for young PhD students who want to contribute for our university) will participate in II Ogólnopolska Konferencja Krajowej Reprezentacji Doktorantów, where PhD students will share their new findings and exchange experiences about the doctoral self-governance of their universities.

A month later, the PhD Students’ Selfgovernment Council will held an intercultural integration Cultural Day, during which people from Poland and abroad will be able to present a substitute of their culture by sharing traditional dishes, costumes, music and many more.

A scientific event, the 4th Congress of Young Science, will be held during July where young scientists can present their research results, discuss their theses, network and grow scientifically. The event itself is characterized by interdisciplinarity and the bringing together of scientists from plenty field of studies such alike: experimental sciences, humanities, social sciences and many others, giving participants chance to learn about phenomena outside their everyday interests.

October, the first month for freshly admitted PhD students, will begin with an event called PhD Open at Gdansk Tech, during which doctoral students will be sworn in as doctoral students of Gdańsk University of Technology, and will attend lectures on such topics as the process of programme of study, acquiring financial resources form grants and projects and will be able to listen to discussion panels with representatives of the academic community and more.

The series of events in 2024 will conclude with a Christmas Party - a team-building event that unites all PhD students with an uniqe atmosphere that will positively affect every participant!
