Joint opening of the academic year for Pomeranian universities
You are invited to participate in this nationally unique event by Fahrenheit Universities, the Mayor of the City of Gdańsk, Aleksandra Dulkiewicz, and the Director of the Doctoral School, prof. dr hab. inż. Robert Jankowski, who will also be present at the event.
On Saturday, 5 October, at 10.00 a.m., the academic community of several Pomeranian universities, including the Gdańsk University of Technology, will meet at the Targ Węglowy in Gdańsk. From there, the academics will march along the Trakt Królewski (Długa Street) to Dwór Artusa. The official part of the ceremony will take place on Długi Targ Street, during which we will hear speeches from local and university authorities and representatives of students and PhD students.
Agenda
- 10:15-10:50 – assembling participants according to the parade structure | Targ Węglowy near Katownia,
- 11:00 – parade begins with the participation of local government officials, representatives of Pomeranian universities, and artistic communities,
- 11:00 - 11:30 – ceremonial procession along Długa Street (Trakt Królewski),
- 11:30 - 12:00 – official part – speeches by local government officials, university authorities, students, and PhD students.
The event is organised by Fahrenheit Universities and the City of Gdańsk. The event is under the honorary patronage of the Marshal of the Pomorskie Region and the Mayor of the City of Gdańsk.
