OTM-R Policy Implementation Plan | Gdańsk University of Technology

On 8 November 2022, pursuant to the Regulation No. 73/2022, the Rector of Gdańsk University of Technology adopted the rules of the Policy for the recruitment of academic teachers at Gdańsk University of Technology, named the OTM-R Policy.
These rules are based on open, transparent, merit-based recruitment rules developed by the European Commission. 
The purpose of implementing the OTM-R Policy at Gdańsk Tech, as well as in other research institutions in the European area, is to provide equal opportunities, equal treatment and equal access to participate in the recruitment process to the candidates for research and other academic positions, from Poland and abroad.
The assumptions of the OTM-R Policy will be introduced at our University gradually over a 2-year horizon and will cover four stages:

• Preparation and implementation of new IT solutions regarding the employment of academic staff.
• Conducting trainings and preparing competition committees recruiting academic teachers.
• Developing and introducing templates of documents used in the recruitment process, including those relating to informing candidates about the recruitment result.
• Monitoring the implementation of the recruitment process of researchers.

The implementation plan for the principles and mode of the OTM-R Policy is presented in the HR4R Strategy for 2022-2025.
