Donations are accepted from institutions and individuals. Donors are asked to prepare a list of proposed donations:
- books (author, title, year of publication);
- journals (title, year of publication, issues);
- special collections (author, title, year of publication).
Donations are accepted and added to the collections on a date agreed with the PG Library. The PG Library reserves the right to refuse donations and to include only selected items in the collection, consistent with the profile of the book collection.
The PG Library reserves the right to select the gifts received. The selection of donations is made based on the following criteria:
- inconsistency of the subject matter with the profile of the collected collections and the profile of the University;
- low scientific and didactic value;
- low artistic and historical value;
- outdated content of documents;
- little-known language of publication;
- sufficient number of copies;
- incompleteness of the publication;
- poor physical condition of the publication.
Materials that are not included in the collections may be transferred:
- free of charge to other libraries or users;
- for waste paper.
At the donor's request, the PG Library issues a thank you note for the donated publications.
In the case of objects of significant historical value, the PG Library reserves the right to verify the legality and authenticity of the objects.
Donating a publication as a gift is tantamount to accepting the above rules.
