Nowadays, knowledge of the English language is essential. It is also indispensable when working at a university where over 1000 foreign students study and visited by numerous guests from abroad. Therefore, Gdańsk Tech International Relations Office, meeting the needs of employees, invites you to an intensive, four-month English course financed by the National Agency for Academic Exchange under the "Welcome to Poland" program.
 

Why is it worth taking part in the course?

- the course will be as practical as possible, focused on practicing vocabulary, expressions, grammar needed in everyday work in dean's offices and other places visited by foreign students; participants will be, among others practice writing e-mails and letters, providing oral information in English (regarding submitting documents, making payments for studies, etc.)
- the course will be held during working hours
- the course is free

For whom?

employees of administrative units and dean's offices who have contact with foreign students and employees in their daily work

Language levels

before the start of the course, all participants will complete language tests, on the basis of which they will be assigned to appropriate groups (up to B2 level), teachers will have interviews with selected participants in order to define training needs

The form of the course

the course will be held in the form of online meetings on the MS Teams platform (meetings in groups of up to 12 people); additionally, participants will have access to materials (teaching aids, sample dialogues, e-mail templates, etc.) on the e-learning platform

Deadline

December 2021 - March 2022 (14 meetings are scheduled for each group during this period)

Time

online meetings will be held once a week during business hours and will last 90 minutes

the order of applications will decide about admission to the training (number of places is limited) *
