Fahrenheit Universities representatives took part in the Expo 2020 fair in Dubai. Gdańsk University of Technology was represented by Anna Modrzejewska, Head of the International Relations Office, and Monika Czerepak, Deputy head of IRO.

The Polish pavilion in Dubai was visited by representatives of numerous national academic centers, including the three largest universities in Pomerania. One of the highlights of the event was Poland the Heart of Europe exhibition showing the history and achievements of Polish medicine. Delegates of FarU member universities presented 15,000 guests from all over the world with the educational offers of their units and plans of initiatives aimed at increasing their internationalization. The activities undertaken were aimed at presenting Gdańsk as a strong and at the same time student-friendly academic center and establishing contacts that in the future will result in cooperation both in the field of teaching and research. During the presentations of Gdańsk universities, special attention was paid to medicine and technical sciences, which was in line with the trend noticeable at this year's Polish exhibitions.

- The presence of FarU at the stand of the Polish pavilion at Expo Dubai 2020 during the Polish Science Week is undoubtedly a big event for our universities. We had the opportunity to present our educational offer and present the achievements of our scientists, not only to potential candidates for studies but also to world-class universities such as Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi and United Arab Emirates University (UAEU). During conversations with partners from universities, it turned out that our curricula coincide in many areas. Therefore, there is a potential for establishing cooperation in the future - summed up Anna Modrzejewska, head of International Relations Office.
