Opening of the Welcome Office | Gdańsk University of Technology

The Welcome Office operates as part of the International Relations Office and closely cooperates with the IRO team responsible for the recruitment of international students and the arrivals of foreign employees, as well as other Gdańsk Tech units providing services to students, employees and international guests.

Who are the Welcome Office services for?

1. for employees from abroad:
- employed on the basis of an employment contract
- employed under civil law contracts
- visiting professors and post-docs
2. for guests from abroad:
- invited by the Rector and individual faculties and units of Gdańsk Tech
- wanting to cooperate with Gdańsk Tech
- participating in international conferences organized by Gdańsk Tech
- conducting research at Gdańsk Tech
3. for Ph.D. students
4. for students:
- studying in the full cycle of education
- Erasmus+ exchange students

How can the employees of the Welcome Office help? 

1. formal issues (legalization of stay, registration, health insurance, PESEL number, etc.)
2. accommodation (in guest rooms in Gdańsk Tech dormitories and not only)
3. assistance in the first days of stay at Gdańsk Tech (health and safety training, account in Moja PG, library card, parking entry card, etc.)
4. providing information about the organizational structure of Gdańsk Tech and indicating in which units it is possible to deal with matters related to work and studies at the university
5. organization of picking up guests from the airport, organizing a gala dinner / lunch, guiding guests around the Gdańsk Tech campus and the Tri-City
6. providing information on cultural, sports and other events organized in the Tri-City
7. providing promotional materials and gadgets for international guests

The Welcome Office is open Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Welcome Office team

The services of employees, guests and international students at the Welcome Office are provided by two employees of the International Relations Office: Katarzyna Bauer-Mikołajczyk and Atoosa Bahrani. The coordinator of the Welcome Office is Monika Czerepak, Deputy Head of the International Relations Office.
