On 25 October, Sultana Laily Hossain, the ambassador of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, met with representatives of Gdańsk University of Technology.

On behalf of Gdańsk Tech the meeting was attended by: prof. Janusz Nieznański, PhD, DSc, Eng., Vice-Rector for Internationalization and Innovation, Mariusz Kaczmarek, PhD, DSc, Eng., professor at Gdańsk Tech, Vice-Rector for Education, and Barbara Wikieł, PhD, professor at Gdańsk Tech, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs. The meeting was also attended by Christian Jungnickel, PhD, DSc, professor at Gdańsk Tech, rector's plenipotentiary for cooperation with scientific and didactic institutions of Asian countries and Anna Modrzejewska, head of the International Relations Office, as well as Monika Czerepak and Justyna Sudakowska. The Ambassador was accompanied by Jan Zacharewicz - Honorary Consul of the People's Republic of Bangladesh in Gdańsk.

The topic of the talks was broadly understood academic cooperation between Gdańsk University of Technology and universities from Bangladesh.

During the meeting, the didactic offer of Gdańsk University of Technology for foreign students was presented and the issues of mobility and foreign exchange of students as well as support provided by the University of Technology to foreign students in the recruitment and study process were discussed. As a result of the discussion, it was agreed to undertake actions aimed at concluding cooperation agreements with selected universities from Bangladesh.

During the visit, the Ambassador had the opportunity to meet students from Bangladesh who study at Gdańsk University of Technology.
