Programs for institutions and young researchers - apply now

Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange announced calls for applications in programs for institutions and young scientists. Interested parties may submit applications for the projects in the Maria Skłodowska-Curie "Staff Exchanges" program (program for institutions) and Preludium Bis (program for PhD students).

Established in 2017, Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange works to internationalize Polish science by supporting and stimulating international research cooperation and academic exchange. The Agency strives to strengthen scientific excellence, internationalize Polish universities and scientific institutions, as well as to promote Poland - its language and culture in order to build the image of a country offering interesting educational and research opportunities. These goals are achieved thanks to a wide range of programs for institutions, scientists and students.

Currently, Agency is conducting admission for the following programs:


Maria Skłodowska-Curie "Staff Exchanges" Program

MSCA Staff Exchanges is a program that enables the international and cross-sectoral exchange of employees of institutions that form a consortium, involved in research and innovation activities within these institutions. More information can be found on the Agency's website (information in Polish language only).

  • application deadline: March 8, 2023
  • who can apply: a consortium that may include: universities, research institutions, small and medium-sized enterprises and other non-academic organizations; the consortium must consist of at least three organizations from three different countries - two of them must be from an EU Member State or one associated with Horizon Europe
  • project duration: up to 48 months
  • what activities can be covered by the program: the MSCA SE project budget covers the costs of the above-mentioned activities by financing the secondment of employees to other organizations belonging to the project consortium (while maintaining the current remuneration and employment) and costs related to the implementation of joint research and innovation

Preludium Bis Program

This is the next edition of the program, the aim of which is to support the international mobility of doctoral students by enabling them to carry out internships abroad, related to participation in research projects under the PRELUDIUM BIS 3 call of the National Science Center (NCN). More information can be found on the Agency's website (information in Polish language only). 

  • deadline for submitting applications: ongoing admission from January 5, 2023 to December 10, 2026
  • who may apply: PhD student carrying out a research project that received funding under the NCN call - PRELUDIUM BIS 3
  • project duration: from 3 to 6 months
  • what activities can be covered by the program: financing covers the scholarship holder's living costs related to his/her stay in a foreign host institution and a mobility allowance; in the case of a scholarship holder with a certificate of severe or moderate disability, the amount of the scholarship may be increased if a guardian participates in the trip
