Einsteinium IDUB | Gdańsk University of Technology

Europium Short-Term Incoming Visits is a programme which fulfils the tasks of IDUB (the Polish acronym for The Excellence Initiative – Research University) when it comes to increasing the quality of research activities at the university as part of Action IV.2. (Construction and development of international research teams at Gdańsk University of Technology). The aim of the programme is to ensure the transfer of knowledge of renowned foreign scholars visiting Gdańsk Tech research teams. These visits should also result in the establishment or development of research cooperation between the visiting person and the team from Gdańsk Tech, going beyond the period of the visit.

How long can you travel for?

As part of the Programme, it is possible to finance the costs of short-term visits from 1 week to 2 months of renowned foreign scholars at Gdańsk University of Technology and the costs of a three-month stay of a foreign scholar as a member of a research team, whose creation is financed from the Aurum Supporting International Research Team Building programme.

Visit financing conditions

The financing of the costs of a foreign scholar’s visit includes the part paid upon arrival - per diems of PLN 300, while travel (plane, train and bus tickets) and accommodation are organised and paid directly by Gdańsk University of Technology.
