Gdańsk Tech Receives Funding for the Project "Innovation Incubator 4.0"
The Ministry of Science and Higher Education has announced the ranking list of 32 applications that qualified for funding under the "Innovation Incubator 4.0" program. This edition of the program will be implemented by the Knowledge and Technology Transfer Center at Gdańsk Tech in a consortium with the special purpose company Excento.
The Ministry of Science and Higher Education has announced the ranking list of 32 applications that qualified for funding under the "Innovation Incubator 4.0" program. This edition of the program will be implemented by the Knowledge and Technology Transfer Center at Gdańsk Tech in a consortium with the special purpose company Excento.
The main objective of the program is to support the management of scientific research and development results, mainly in the field of commercialization. One of the conditions for applying for funding was conducting active activities in the commercialization of scientific research and development results, as well as initiating cooperation between the scientific community and the economic environment. The program's implementation aims to promote scientific achievements, increase their impact on the development of innovation, and strengthen cooperation between the scientific community and the economic environment.
The Innovation Incubator 4.0 at Gdańsk Tech will be implemented until the end of 2022, and each project submitted to the program may receive funding up to PLN 100,000. Below is a list of activities eligible for funding from the project:
- conducting pre-implementation works, including additional laboratory tests or adapting the invention to the needs of the interested buyer, with costs not exceeding PLN 100,000;
- preparation of commercialization projects of scientific research and development results, including in particular analyses of the market potential of inventions and analyses of their implementation readiness, as well as valuation of industrial property rights;
- initiating and strengthening cooperation between the scientific community and the economic environment, including searching for entities interested in implementing scientific research and development results through promotion of the technology offer and participation in exhibitions and fairs of the "science to business" type;
- technology portfolio management, including in particular:
- monitoring and analysis of scientific research or development results in terms of their practical usability,
- market needs analysis to select topics of scientific research or development works and examining the state of the art prior to starting research or development works,
- maintaining a database of ongoing research projects, achieved results, and possibilities for their practical application,
- analyses of possibilities for obtaining patent protection and commercializing scientific research and development results prior to their publication;
The Innovation Incubator program is financed by European funds under the project "Support for the management of scientific research and commercialization of R&D results in scientific units and enterprises," implemented within the Intelligent Development Operational Programme 2014-2020.
