Prof. Michał Wasilczuk is the laureate of the Intelligent Development Award

Prof. Michał Wasilczuk, PhD, DSc, Eng. is the laureate of this year's Intelligent Development Award in the ‘Scientist of the future’ category.  

Prof. Michał Wasilczuk received the award in recognition of his research activities related to bearing engineering and tribology, carried out, among others, as part of the projects entitled: ‘Studies on the use of acoustic levitation caused by the Poisson effect for contactless transport of light objects’, ‘Pro-ecological and low-energy construction and material solutions in water and wind power engineering’ and for participation in the project concerning the development of modern diagnostic systems allowing to increase reliability and durability of the older types of trams in operation.

For five years, the Polish Intelligent Development Award has been awarded to innovators, investors, people and organizations whose way of acting and thinking affects the intelligent and sustainable development of society and the economy. The award shows recognition of the authors of technological and social innovations, as well as investments that directly or indirectly raise the standard of living.

This year, the winners of the Intelligent Development Award in the ‘Scientist of the future’ category at Gdańsk University of Technology were also prof. Robert Bogdanowicz and PhD, Eng. Aleksander Hejna.
