At the beginning of each new academic year, the International Academic Cooperation Office at Gdańsk Tech invites newly admitted international students (in Polish and English) to participate in two important events: Registration Week and the Welcome Meeting. This year, new international students will also have the opportunity to take part in a free guided tour of Gdańsk and the inaugural parade marking the start of the academic year, which will include students from Gdańsk's universities.
Registration Week
This is a very important event during which newly admitted international students submit original recruitment documents and can obtain information concerning, among other things, residence legalization in Poland.
- for whom: for students admitted to a full cycle of studies (this event is not for students coming under the Erasmus+ program)

- location: Welcome Meeting in building no. 11 (check on the map)
- is attendance at Registration Week mandatory? Yes, attendance is mandatory for all students admitted to full cycle studies at the first and second level
- registration: click this LINK 1 to book an appointment (if all slots are full you may also try to arrange a meeting via this LINK 2 or this LINK 3). Please register for only one slot to avoid blocking spots for other students.
Welcome Meeting
Information meeting for all newly admitted international students, during which students receive practical information needed at the start of the academic year and can participate in an integration game with prizes.

- time: 10:00 for Polish-speaking students and 12:00 for English-speaking students
- location: Audytorium Novum (check on the map)
- is attendance at Welcome Meeting mandatory? No, it is not mandatory, but we highly encourage participation – the meeting provides many useful pieces of information
- registration: no registration required – just come
Fahrenheit University Students Explore Gdańsk
- for whom: for all interested
- date: Thursday, September 29
- time: 12:00
- location: meeting in front of the main gate of Gdańsk Tech, from where a coach will take you on the tour
- registration: complete a short form
- IMPORTANT – the Gdańsk tour will be conducted in English. Places are limited – registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. The tour is free of charge.
Long Live Science! – the first university parade in Gdańsk with the participation of Dariusz Drelich, the Pomeranian Voivode, and Aleksandra Dulkiewicz, the Mayor of Gdańsk

- location: parade starts at the Golden Gate in Gdańsk (check on the map)
- registration: no registration required, just come
- IMPORTANT – we encourage participants to wear traditional national costumes at the parade. More information about the parade can be found here.
Grand Student Initiation Events
- Gdańsk Tech Grand Initiation – September 29, 9:00 p.m. – Klub Kwadratowa
- Farewell to Summer– September 30, 9:00 p.m. – Klub Kwadratowa
- Fahrenheit University Initiation – October 1, 8:00 p.m. – Klub Kwadratowa
