Do you want to actively participate in the energy transformation, the development of renewable energy sources, and expand your knowledge in the digitalization and automation of systems? The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology at Gdańsk Tech is addressing global challenges by launching the postgraduate studies Digital Skills for Wind Energy Systems.

The one-year postgraduate studies launched as part of the international DigiWind project will be conducted in Polish, and recruitment will last until the end of September.

This offer is primarily for engineers and people with technical education who want to deepen their knowledge in the design, operation, and monitoring of wind farms, both onshore and offshore.

– Today, as digitization, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and digital twins are developing so dynamically, having state-of-the-art competencies is crucial – that is why we are launching the Digital Skills for Wind Energy Systems studies at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology. The program will benefit people working in the energy, automation, electrical engineering, mechanics sectors, as well as those specializing in IT systems, data analysis, or artificial intelligence – emphasized MSc Eng. Wojciech Olszewski, head of postgraduate studies.

Who else are the studies for?

The studies are open to management staff who want to better understand the technological potential of wind farms, optimization of energy production, and integration with the power market and smart electrical grids. An important part of the program concerns sustainable development and ESG strategies.

Main aspects

A strong emphasis in the curriculum has been placed on digital solutions: the use of cloud computing, edge computing, digital twins, SCADA systems, predictive maintenance methods, and cybersecurity in critical infrastructure.

Flexible form of classes

The program can be completed as a whole (full postgraduate studies) or by choosing only particular modules. The modules will also be available as separate courses – for those interested in specific topics and who need to supplement their knowledge and skills in only one or several areas. Thanks to this flexibility, learning can be adapted to one's own needs and time possibilities. The courses will also be conducted in Polish.
