The Security Congress serves as a platform for dialogue and cooperation, bringing together representatives from public administration, the Polish Armed Forces, industry, the new technologies sector, and the academic community. This year's edition featured approximately 4,000 participants and nearly 200 speakers representing diverse sectors related to security, innovation, and technology development. Central topics of discussion included, among others, building the state's long-term resilience, developing defense capabilities, cybersecurity, protecting critical infrastructure, and the use of modern technologies – including artificial intelligence and dual-use solutions.
Key thematic areas and discussion panels
Congress participants had the opportunity to take part in numerous debates and panels, including:
- Security economics and funding state resilience – discussions focused on models of cooperation between the public and private sectors, financing security projects, the role of financial institutions, and the importance of technological sovereignty and intellectual property in implementing strategic initiatives.
- Anti-drone systems in state security – the panel concentrated on the role of unmanned systems in defense architecture, drone detection and neutralization technologies (both soft- and hard-kill), as well as challenges in system integration and legal regulations in this area.
- Critical infrastructure security – issues related to the protection of key facilities (ports, airports, transport and energy infrastructure), military mobility, crisis preparedness (e.g., blackouts), and adapting infrastructure to hybrid threats and armed conflicts were discussed.
Business perspective for Gdańsk Tech
Participation in the Congress confirmed the relevance and validity of Gdańsk Tech’s strategic direction focused on the development of maritime technologies for environmental and infrastructure security. Discussions with experts – including former commanders of the Navy and critical infrastructure managers – highlighted the significant implementation potential of the ROV PIRANIA prototype vehicle under development, as well as emphasized the importance of technological sovereignty in this area.
At the same time, numerous networking sessions enabled the establishment of new relationships with partners representing the defense, industrial, and technological sectors. These contacts create real prospects for further collaboration in innovative solutions for state security and critical infrastructure.
The participation of representatives from PG Biznes Hub in the Security of Poland 2026 Congress was an important element in building the university’s position as an active participant in the national security and innovation ecosystem.
