Representatives of Gdańsk Tech – Agnieszka Niekurzak and Anna Szczerbyna from the PG Biznes Hub team – participated in the Networking Conference of Academic Business Incubators, which took place on June 22–23 at the University of Warsaw. The event, organized by the UW Incubator, was attended by nearly 70 representatives from over 50 universities and institutions supporting the development of academic entrepreneurship.
The meeting was an opportunity to exchange experiences among representatives of academic business incubators, career offices, technology transfer centers, and other units supporting the development of student activity and academic entrepreneurship, as well as to discuss new challenges facing university business incubators. Participants talked, among other things, about the changing needs of students, PhD candidates, and young scientists, cooperation with business, possibilities of using AI tools, and building a nationwide cooperation network.
One of the most important outcomes of the conference was the establishment of the Advisory Council of Academic Business Incubators and the creation of five working groups that will prepare joint actions in the areas of European programs, financing, statutory issues, conference organization, and the exchange of good practices.
We are pleased to inform you that Agnieszka Niekurzak has been appointed co-coordinator of the working group “Good Practices”, which – together with Jarosław Chojecki – will be responsible for developing and promoting proven solutions supporting the development of academic entrepreneurship at Polish universities.
The participation of the PG Biznes Hub representatives in the activities of the newly established structures is the next step in building cooperation with the national environment supporting innovation development and strengthens Gdańsk Tech’s position on the map of the nationwide network of academic business incubators.
