The Doctoral School’s new website and intranet for PhD students provide a clearer structure for communication and make information easier to access. The public website will showcase the School’s activities and its community’s achievements, while the intranet will become the main source of information about PhD training.

Until now, the website has combined updates about PhD training with news about the School’s activities. Separating these functions will help organise the content more clearly and distinguish administrative information from news about achievements, initiatives and events.

The Doctoral School’s public website will offer an insight into the life of our community and highlight its contribution to the advancement of science. It will feature information about PhD students’ achievements, ongoing projects and activities, as well as research collaboration and initiatives undertaken within the School.

We will publish, among other things:

  • news about PhD students’ research achievements, awards, distinctions and grants awarded;
  • information about projects and initiatives involving the School’s community;
  • announcements and coverage of academic and science outreach events aimed at audiences outside Gdańsk University of Technology;
  • updates on national and international collaboration and the School’s development.

The intranet for PhD students will bring together information on how PhD training is organised and carried out, previously available on the School’s public website. The content will be presented in a clearer, more organised way. The layout and section names will remain similar to those on the previous website, making relevant information and materials easier to find.

The intranet will feature updates and materials covering, among other things:

  • key dates and deadlines throughout PhD training;
  • activities required under the doctoral training programme;
  • current procedures and document templates;
  • opportunities for academic development, international collaboration and additional funding.

The intranet will be the School’s main channel for ongoing communication with PhD students. Checking the news and updates daily will help keep track of deadlines, organisational changes and available development opportunities. Bookmarking the site in a browser will make it easier to access the information directly.

The creation of the Doctoral School’s SharePoint communication site was partially funded as part of the “Welcome to Gdańsk Tech” project, implemented by Gdańsk Tech under the “Welcome to Poland 2025” programme. The project is funded by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange and co-funded by the European Union through the European Social Fund Plus under the “European Funds for Social Development 2021–2027” programme.
