Young Founders Camp will be held at Gdańsk University of Technology for the first time – a four-day educational and project-based trip for Gdańsk Tech students who want to develop their own ideas, gain practical skills, and explore where their ideas can take them.
From October 19 to 22, 2026, participants will travel to the Gdańsk Tech Recreation Center in Czarlino, where they will work on their projects, participate in workshops, mentoring sessions, and consultations, and develop skills useful for implementing their own ideas.
Young Founders Camp is not only about workshops and lectures – it is primarily a space to work on developing your own idea. Participants will go through successive stages of project work: from defining the problem and target audience, through validating the idea and working on the solution, to preparing and presenting the project before a jury.
To participate in the camp, all you need is an idea or a problem you want to solve. You do not need to have a finished product, prototype, or business model – you can submit a project at any stage of development.
Program
The camp program is divided into four days, each corresponding to the next stage of project work.
Day 1 – Get to know yourself. Get to know your idea.
The first day will be dedicated to discovering your own strengths, values, motivation, and competencies. Then, participants will examine their ideas, the problems they want to solve, and their target audiences. This is the time to organize the idea, define the project's key assumptions, and consider which of them still need to be verified.
Day 2 – Test your idea
The second day will primarily focus on validating the idea. Participants will work on the project model, formulate and check their assumptions, and confront them with the needs of potential recipients. The goal will be to gather information that allows assessing what works in the project, what needs to be changed, and what is worth further development.
Day 3 – Develop your project
On the third day, participants will look at their projects from the market perspective and possibilities for further development. They will analyze the competition and consider how to reach the first users or recipients.
An important element of this day will also be short, individual mentoring sessions – an opportunity to discuss projects with mentors, receive specific guidance, and consult the next steps.
Day 4 – Prepare your pitch
The last day will be devoted to preparing the final presentations. Participants will learn the principles of effective pitching and storytelling, and then prepare their speeches.
The camp will conclude with a mini final, during which participants will present their projects before a jury. Based on this, winning projects in each of the three tracks will be selected.
Three tracks
During Young Founders Camp, participants will develop projects in one of three tracks: business, social, or scientific.
Business track is intended for ideas related to products, services, ventures, and other solutions that can find application in the market.
Social track is aimed at those who want to develop projects addressing significant social problems or needs.
Scientific track is intended for projects based on scientific knowledge, research results, technology, or other solutions with research, implementation, or development potential.
Who is it for?
Young Founders Camp is aimed at adult students of Gdańsk Tech pursuing first or second-cycle degrees and holding active student status.
You can apply with an idea, problem, or need you want to work on, as well as with a concept for a scientific or social project. Neither a ready team nor a developed project is required.
Each candidate applies individually and may present one idea or project.
Participants of Young Founders Camp will be excused from academic classes during the camp.
Participation in Young Founders Camp is free of charge, and the number of places is limited. A maximum of 20 people will take part in the 1st edition of the camp.
Recruitment
Recruitment for the 1st edition of the entrepreneurship camp at Gdańsk Tech will begin on September 3 and last until September 23, 2026. The recruitment process consists of two stages.
Stage 1 – Application
By September 23, candidates must complete the application form, in which they present their idea, motivation for participating in the camp, and information about themselves and the project. Based on the submitted applications, the recruitment committee will select candidates invited to the next stage.
Stage 2 – Recruitment interview
From September 24 to 30, selected candidates will participate in individual recruitment interviews. The interview is a mandatory part of the recruitment process and may be conducted in person or remotely. It is an opportunity to get to know candidates better, their ideas, and motivation to participate in the camp.
The results of the recruitment will be announced on October 1, 2026.

October 19–22, 2026
The Young Founders Camp will be held off-campus in an away format. This will allow participants to combine intensive work on their projects with integration, experience sharing, and meeting other people interested in developing their own ideas.
Detailed information regarding transportation, accommodation, meals, and return arrangements will be provided to the selected participants prior to the event.
Why participate?
Young Founders Camp is an opportunity to organize and develop your idea, learn how to verify if it meets a real need, and gain practical knowledge about project development.
Participants will have access to support from mentors and experts, meet other students interested in entrepreneurship, find potential collaborators, improve presentation and pitching skills, and test their ideas in practice.
What next for the winning projects?
The winning projects from each of the three tracks will have the opportunity to present themselves at the Young Founders Conference – an event aimed at students interested in entrepreneurship, startups, innovation, and activity in scientific clubs.
Projects will be able to appear on the stage and be presented before representatives of business, startups, and communities supporting young entrepreneurship. This will be the next step from the idea developed during the camp to presenting it to a broader audience and potential partners.
