The most interesting things happen where different fields meet: when an engineer sits down to talk with a philosopher, a programmer marvels at a painting, and a researcher learns from an artist. It is precisely at the intersection of disciplines that the most unexpected ideas arise, and the ability to view a problem from multiple perspectives is one of the most valuable competencies today.
TED is an international non-profit initiative whose mission is to spread ideas worth sharing ("Ideas Worth Spreading"). TEDx are locally organized events licensed by TED, where the community gathers to share valuable ideas and experiences. These events emphasize conversation, authenticity, and passion.
In previous years, scientists, entrepreneurs, social activists, and artists have taken the stage at TEDx Gdańsk Tech. Each brought a unique idea that left a lasting impression on the audience.
This year’s edition will show, however, that TEDx Gdańsk Tech is not only about the stage. Alongside talks from various fields in the TEDx Talks format, participants can look forward to:
- a richer workshop offer than ever before,
- an exceptionally expanded artistic section with an even greater number of artists and performers,
- networking and conversations that, as previous editions have shown, do not end with the final presentation.
