The International Relations Office invites employees, PhD students, and students to a meeting with Jagoda Ratajczak – a philologist, translator, and author of books, with whom we will discuss barriers to speaking in English. The event will take place on Thursday, February 27, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM in the conference room of the Hydromechanics building no. 11. Registration is required.

PhD students from abroad received Daniel Fahrenheit Scholarships
Gilvana Pereira Siqueira from the Federal University of Uberlândia, Nathalia Pavan from the Universidade Estadual Paulista and Yimer Mekonnen Kasse from Ghent University are this year's laureates of the Daniel Fahrenheit Scholarship from the Mayor of Gdańsk for the best PhD students from abroad. The award ceremony took place on 14 February at the City Hall in Gdańsk
This is the 3rd edition of the scholarship programme for PhD students from abroad conducting interdisciplinary research. The Mayor of Gdańsk, in agreement with Fahrenheit Universities, funded prestigious scientific scholarships named after Daniel Gabriel Fahrenheit, for the three best doctoral students.

Based on the presented list of applications, the Rector of the Gdansk University of Technology, out of 151 applications for the POLONIUM scholarship submitted by doctoral students, 138 were granted.
