ENHANCE invites: webinar on e-learning (September 2nd)

Which form of education - on-campus or remote, is more attractive to students? How do young people evaluate both forms of study? What are their ideas for improving distance learning? These and many other questions will be addressed during the webinar titled "Teaching and Researching Sustainable Entrepreneurship and Innovation," which will take place on Monday, September 2nd, from 12:15 PM to 1:00 PM. The event is organized by Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden and Warsaw University of Technology. Prior registration is required to participate in the event.

In November 2022, Gdańsk University of Technology joined the ENHANCE Alliance - a consortium of 10 technical universities from Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, and Poland. This affiliation also made Gdańsk Tech part of the European Universities initiative.

Under the Program, it is possible to obtain a University grant to finance the cost of research conducted in cooperation with partners from the National Taipei University of Technology (NTUT) in areas consistent with the activities of Gdańsk Tech's Priority Research Area Centers.

An applicant may be a PG employee employed at the University as his/her primary place of work.  

Gdańsk Tech moved up in the Shanghai Ranking

Gdańsk Tech moved up in the Shanghai Ranking
Gdańsk University of Technology has achieved a great success by moving up 100 places in the  Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), also known as the Shanghai Ranking, which is recognized as the most prestigious ranking of higher education institutions in the world.

The ranking has been compiled since 2003. The exact place in the ranking is known only for the world's top 100 universities, and other places are listed in groups of 100 institutions only. For the fifth time in a row, Gdańsk University of Technology was included in the ranking, having moved up compared to last year, by placing in the 801-900 range of the world's best universities.

New grant allocation rules for the Erasmus+ program

We encourage staff and students to read the updated grant allocation rules for the Erasmus+ program.

Gdańsk University of Technology has signed an agreement for the implementation of another project under the Erasmus+ program. Consequently, Professor Janusz Nieznański, Vice-Rector for internationalization and innovation, has signed the new rules for the distribution of the grant awarded to Gdańsk University of Technology for the upcoming academic year. For the 2024/2025 academic years, the university has received over PLN 2 million for staff and student mobility.

We encourage to explore the new offer of international grants and scholarships for researchers and PhD students published by EURAXESS Poland.

EURAXESS Poland is operated under the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA). Its mission is to support international mobility and the career development of researchers. Each month, the EURAXESS Poland website features international grants and scholarships available to PhD students and researchers. The offers come from various national and international institutions and organizations worldwide and cover all fields of science.

Cooperation of Gdańsk University of Technology with the Japanese Kwansei Gakuin University

Gdańsk University of Technology has signed a cooperation agreement with the School of Biological and Environmental Sciences of Kwansei Gakuin University. The agreement will enable scientific exchange between the universities, benefiting students, PhD students and staff members alike.

On behalf of Gdańsk University of Technology, the agreement, known as the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), was signed by Prof. PhD, DSc, Eng. Krzysztof Wilde, Rector of Gdańsk Tech and Prof. PhD, DSc, Eng. Agata Kot-Wasik, Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry, while the signatories from the side of the partner university were Prof.

We invite you to participate in the Poster Session Competition "Active - practical ways for sustainable development". This is a unique opportunity to present your artistic skills and creativity as well as your idea of how to implement the idea of sustainable development. 

The objective of the Poster Session Competition is the development and dissemination of knowledge on Sustainable Development Goals among Gdańsk Tech community. The competition is open to the entire PG community: students, PhD students and employees.
