Nearly 400 thousand awarded in next edition of Radium program to ISB students

Seventeen creative projects designed to support particularly talented students engaging in research activities in topics related to priority research areas have received funding from the Radium Learning Through Research Programs for a total value of more than PLN 395,000. Implementation of the projects will make it possible to finance the costs of ongoing research by second-level students in Individual Research Studies.

Impleted call received funding for the following projects:

1. Development of a design with the fabrication of a hydrodynamic thrust bearing and its experimental testing.

2. Comparative analysis of the propulsive efficiency of a free propeller, with a nozzle or in a semi-tunnel for a specialized zero-emission waste collection unit in port basins - implemented as a supplement to the ZeroWastePorts project

3. Synthesis, characterization and application of semiconductor materials based on Fe, Cu, Mn for photocatalytic degradation of organic pollutants not susceptible to biological decomposition

4. Effect of chemical doping on the superconducting state in the ternary compound LaRu2P2
