Ingenious Inventors Wanted - The James Dyson Award 2023

James Dyson Award
Only until July 19, you can submit your project for The James Dyson Award 2023.

The competition is organized by the James Dyson Foundation, founded in 2002, which aims to support young engineers and encourage them to be passionate about construction. The organizers of this year's edition of the competition direct attention to ecology and look also for projects aimed at solving problems related to sustainable development or designed, obtained or made in a sustainable way. Among the cash prizes awarded for the best project in the country and on the international level, there is also a prize of PLN 160.000,00 dedicated to the winner in the sustainable development category.

In addition to financial gratification for the best constructors, participation in the competition is an opportunity to present yourself as an inventor, meet other engineers in the country and abroad.

Last year's award was given to the SmartHEAL - a smart pH sensor integrated with wound dressing for monitoring of chronic wounds condition developed by graduates and currently PhD students of the Warsaw University of Technology.

Among projects awarded in previous years are: a net for sustainable fishing, a bioreactive label that checks the expiry date of food products and a prosthesis for mountain climbers after a leg amputation. As the winners of the previous editions of The James Dyson Award say, participation in it may be the beginning of an amazing adventure that can change your life.

More information about the James Dyson Foundation, the competition and the requirements that the submitted project should meet can be found on the website.
