Before you register in the University's admission system (eRecruitment), you must find your future supervisor in the discipline in which you want to prepare your doctoral dissertation. The Doctoral School does not mediate in this process.
Important: Contact your chosen supervisor well in advance. A prospective supervisor needs time to talk to you and familiarize themselves with your research plans before signing the required documents.
Your tasks
-
Check the list of supervisors: we publish it in the news section about a month before the start of admission and in this tab.
-
Arrange an interview: present your concept of the doctoral thesis. This is the moment to determine the research topics and agree on the terms of cooperation.
-
Obtain a signed declaration: if the prospective supervisor decides to take you under their supervision, they must sign a declaration. This document confirms:
-
having an interview with you,
-
consent to act as a supervisor,
-
provision of research facilities and financial resources for your research.
-
Admission limits for supervisors
In the admission for the academic year 2026/2027, one supervisor may sign declarations for a maximum of 3 candidates (including a maximum of 2 foreigners). You will find information about the maximum number of doctoral students under the supervision of a given supervisor in the list of prospective supervisors.
