Admission results are public and published on the Doctoral School website in the form of ranking lists.
Your status on the ranking list
After logging into the system or on the published list, you will see one of three statuses:
-
Admitted: You have met all formal and substantive requirements and placed within the admission limit due to an appropriate number of points.
-
Awaiting acceptance after meeting the formal requirements/supplementing formal deficiencies within the specified deadline: Your score allows for admission, but we are missing a complete set of documents (most often the diploma, because you are just prior to your defense, or we are waiting for the verification of your foreign education). To be entered onto the list of doctoral students, you must remedy these deficiencies by the deadline indicated in the schedule.
-
Not admitted: You were not admitted due to failure to meet formal requirements, an insufficient interview score, or the admission limit being reached.
Administrative decisions and entry onto the list
The method of formally concluding the admissions process depends on your citizenship and the result:
-
Polish citizens (status "admitted"): Do not receive an administrative decision. Admission to the School takes place through entry onto the list of doctoral students.
-
Foreigners and non-admitted candidates: Receive an individual administrative decision. These decisions are not issued at the same time as the publication of ranking lists, and we will inform you about their availability in a separate announcement on the Doctoral School website. The document will appear in your candidate panel in the recruitment system only after that.
Important: If you received a decision of non-admission and wish to submit an application for reconsideration of the case (a so-called appeal), you must first confirm receipt of this decision in the recruitment system.
What must you do after qualifying?
If you have the status "admitted" or "pending...", your duty is to submit the final documents. Deadlines for specific activities are annnouced in the admissions schedules.
Your to-do list (depending on the situation):
-
If you applied based on a declaration (without a master's diploma): Your admission is conditional. You must now:
-
Defend your master's thesis.
-
Submit a certificate of defense to the School Office (this is a necessary condition to change your status and add you to the list of doctoral students).
-
At a later date (indicated in the schedule), submit the original diploma.
-
-
Presentation of original documents: You must bring to the School Office the originals of all documents whose scans you uploaded to the system during recruitment (in the case of foreign diplomas – together with their legalization or apostille).
-
Oath and scholarship: Within the designated deadline, you must sign the oath deed (matriculation) and submit the documents necessary for the payment of the doctoral scholarship and registration for social insurance (ZUS).
