Summary of the year of activity of the Team of early career researchers
The meeting summarizing more than a year of activity of the team monitoring the conditions of development and research conducted by early career researchers took place on November 16 this year.
In addition to the team members, the meeting was also attended by prof. Krzysztof Wilde, rector of Gdansk University of Technology, prof. Janusz Nieznański, vice-rector for Internationalisation and Innovation, prof. Sławomir Milewski, vice-rector for Scientific Research, and Mariusz Miler, M.Sc. Eng., Chancellor.
The aim of the meeting was to discuss the actions taken for the benefit of early career researchers throughout the university, faculties and Doctoral Schools, which result from the work of the Team. The organization of the The Early Career Researcher Day, the implementation of area training and information meetings at the faculties, as well as the introduction of annual change plans for early career researchers at all faculties and at both doctoral schools were appreciated.
Plans and opportunities were also discussed, as well as challenges faced by early career researchers at Gdansk Tech on a daily basis. The rectors also expressed the expectation of greater involvement and inclusion of early career researchers in the activities of other university teams.
The rector thanked the team for their actions and emphasized the important role of the Team in creating the direction of change at the University.
