Project title: Increasing cultural diversity among students of Gdańsk Tech

Description: The project aimed to effectively focus recipients’ attention on international programmes offered by the University and its Departments. Moreover, close attention was given to a friendly and professional form of presenting student life and possibilities for development for future Gdańsk Tech graduates. The goal was to make the communication coming from Gdańsk Tech more authentic by letting students share their feedback and enabling candidates from countries and regions which are prioritised in the Project to interact with their colleagues – current Gdańsk Tech students.

The most important results of the Project:

10 videos promoting Gdańsk University of Technology: 1 video presenting the university, 9 videos for individual departments, including 1 video for the Gdańsk Tech Doctoral School. The videos featured foreigners, were recorded in English and covered programmes and fields of study available for international students. The campaign helped us start cooperation with international students, engage them in student life and find future ambassadors of Gdańsk University of Technology. 

100 photos promoting Gdańsk University of Technology: promotion of Departments and the benefits of studying at Gdańsk University of Technology, depicting Gdańsk as a place which stands out from other cities in Poland. Photoshoots featured both Polish and international students. Some photoshoots took place in Tricity, so the students had time to meet outside the class in a beautiful setting which helped to integrate them. The photos will enrich university photo stock, publications in social media and university websites. Engaging real students of Gdańsk Tech in the photoshoots helps make the communication more authentic. 

Infographics – GIFs and icons – to be used in social media communication and to promote Gdańsk University of Technology among international students. The GIFs were designed using the photos from the abovementioned photoshoots . The icons present topics related to student life. They will be used in social media as well as on Gdańsk University of Technology websites, posters, in folders and campus guides.

Promotional gifts with the logo of Gdańsk University of Technology and the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange – for students engaged in the university’s promotional activities, including the students participating in the photoshoots and videos. Those materials should enable students to promote Gdańsk Tech following their return to home country or during their stay at partner universities.
