Types of trips
Erasmus+ enables academic staff to travel abroad to:
1. conduct classes
2. participate in training
3. conduct classes and participate in training (mixed mobility)
The departure procedure is the same in all cases (no matter what country you are going to).
Number of teaching hours
The minimum number of classes to be conducted in one week or less is 8. If you stay for over a week, the number of classes is 8+ (8/5 multiplied by the number of additional days). In the case of mixed mobility (didactics + training), the minimum number of teaching hours is 4.
Countries you can travel to
In order to participate in training courses and conduct classes, you can travel to:
1. programme countries (UE, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Serbia, North Macedonia, Turkey)
2. partner countries (other countries with whom Gdańsk Tech has signed agreements)
The main differences between travelling to programme countries and partner countries are:
1. the duration of your stay:
- programme countries: min. 2 – max. 60 days
- partner countries: min. 5 – max. 60 days
2. funding period:
- programme countries: max. for 5 days*
- partner countries: funding for max. 5 days of training + max. 2 travelling days
*the trip may last longer (max. 60 days), but the subsidy is granted for max. 5 days
3. amount of funding:
- programme countries: funding depends on the country (EUR 140-180 per day)
- partner countries: one rate for all countries (EUR 180 per day)
Trip funding
Funding (training courses and classes) includes individual support and a lump sum for travelling costs.
Individual support:
country | subsidy |
---|---|
group I program countries: Denmark, Finland, Irland, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Norway, Sweden | EUR 180 per day |
group II program countries: Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, France, Greece, Spain, Netherlands, Malta, Germany, Portugal, Italy | EUR 160 per day |
group III program countries: Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, Hungary, Poland | EUR 140 per day |
partner countries: other countries with whom Gdańsk Tech has signed agreeements | EUR 180 per day |
Lump sum for travelling costs: to calculate the lump sum for the trip, go to distance calculator and enter the departure and destination location in which you will participate in the training course or conduct classes (e.g. Gdańsk-Barcelona). The calculator will calculate the straight line distance between the cities. Then it is necessary to check in the table which lump sum the employee is entitled to receive. The lump sum is calculated in the same way, regardless of whether you want to travel to programme or partner countries.
🌿 Employees who decide to travel by a green means of transport, i.e. by train, bus or car (as part of carpooling), can count on additional co-financing for their trip.
