Employee Capital Plans at GUT

money
Employee Capital Plans (ECP, Polish: PPK) are a voluntary long-term savings system in which private savings are collected. The Team for the selection of the financial institution responsible for the Employee Capital Plans for Gdańsk University of Technology appointed by the Rector has chosen Pekao Towarzystwo Funduszy Inwestycyjnych S.A. to manage and run ECP.

Employee Capital Plans is a savings system for employees implemented with the support of the state and the employer. The funds set aside in the ECP come from three sources - from the employee, the employer and the Labour Fund.

  • The employee transfers 2% of the remuneration to the ECP
  • The employer pays 1.5% of the employee's salary to the employee's ECP account.
  • From the Labour Fund, each person joining the ECP will receive a one-time welcome payment in the amount of PLN 250 and annual subsidies in the amount of PLN 240.

Additional (voluntary) contributions to ECP are also possible: financed by the employee - up to 2% of their salary. Persons interested in additional savings submit a written declaration to do so.

The funds paid into the ECP will be invested in a fund managed by Pekao TFI S.A.

Attention! Employees aged 18-55 will be automatically enrolled in the ECP, unless they submit a declaration of resignation from the ECP before 7 April this year. People aged 55 and over, but before the age of 70, may join the ECP upon their request.

Ownership and inheritance

The funds accumulated in the ECP are the private property of each employee and will be inherited. Their payment may be made after the age of 60 on the terms specified in the Act on Employee Capital Plans, while maintaining tax allowances, ZUS relief and subsidies from the Labour Fund. In special cases, the payment of funds will also be possible before the age of 60 (e.g. serious illness or the need to finance the purchase of an apartment or construction of a house).

Online service

Access to information about funds accumulated in ECP and the possibility of submitting statements and instructions of Pekao TFI S.A. will be possible through the Service

ePPK Pekao TFI, a special online service. A traditional method of contact is also possible, please visit the nearby branches of Bank Pekao S.A.
