Gdańsk Tech appears yet again in the prestigious QS World University Rankings
This year's QS World University Rankings, presenting the best universities from around the world, covered 93 countries. 145 new participants were included in the ranking. A total of over 1,600 universities were assessed and considered for the ranking, however, only 1,300 of the best universities were finally classified according to the rules of the ranking.
Gdańsk University of Technology maintained its position and was placed in the 801-1000 range for the third time. Apart from Gdańsk Tech, the ranking also included 18 other universities from Poland.
In this year's edition of the ranking, Gdańsk Tech improved its total score from 12.8 points in the 2021 edition to 13.7 this year (this result places us in the TOP 62% of universities, i.e. 5% higher than last year). Similarly to last year's edition of the ranking, Gdańsk tech achieved the best result in the "Faculty / Student Ratio" area, which analyzes the number of academic teachers per 100 students, which gave us 446th position in the global ranking for a given indicator.
The leader of the list among Polish universities is the University of Warsaw, which was classified 308th in the world ranking.
It is also important that the campaign related to acquiring contacts for reputation research brought the first positive effects - in the detailed presentation of the results, the university could show an increase, although not yet high enough to ensure the rise in the general classification. The Academic Reputation Survey is the highest-scoring QS World University Rankings index (40% in methodology).
