Beata Krawczyk-Bryłka, PhD, is the new director of MBA studies at Gdańsk Tech
The official taking over of responsibilities took place during the diploma award ceremony of the 10th edition of the program on 21 May 2021, led by Barbara Geniusz-Stepnowska, PhD, MBA director in 2008-2021.
– Thank you for the time spent with the MBA program. Over the years, we have been able to develop together, building beautiful relationships with students, business and graduates of our program. I would like to especially thank the first dean, prof. Piotr Dominiak, who trusted me by inviting me to the university to create and run the MBA program. Experience
Beata Krawczyk-Bryłka, PhD, is a business psychologist by education, doctor of management at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. She works as an assistant professor at the Department of Entrepreneurship at the Faculty of Management and Economics of Gdańsk University of Technology.
Beata Krawczyk-Bryłka, PhD, is a scientist, author of over 80 publications in the field of virtual team management, entrepreneurship, team trust and human resource management (ORCID: 0000-0001-7677-9549). She managed the National Science Center project: “The model of operation of entrepreneurial teams. How do effective entrepreneurial teams work?" (2018-2021), she also participated in research projects (Gdańsk Tech research capital team, 2017-2020; "Human capital as an element of enterprise value", 2015 PARP and Warsaw School of Economics; "NIWA Center of Excellence", GUT, 2013-2015). Currently, she is an HPC Business Expert in the international project "National Competence Centers in the framework of EuroHPC", implemented under the Horizon 2020 program.
She participates in numerous educational projects (e.g. the University of Technology of Many Generations, 2019-2021; Program for the Development of Competences of the FM&E students, 2016-2017; International Entrepreneurship Week, T.I.M.E.S. C'ESTIEM competition). She also actively participates in the Erasmus + program (Great Britain, Latvia, Spain, Finland, Portugal).
She is a licensed Extended DISC expert, has a PRINCE2 project management methodology certificate.
She cooperated with many organizations from the University's environment, leading managerial competence development programs and supporting human resource management processes (e.g. Elan IT Resource Ltd., Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, Blue Media Ltd., PARP, Gdańska Fundacja Przedsiębiorczości, Consellier Personnel Consulting, Gdańsk Water Foundation, St. Adalbert’s Specialist Hospital, Starter Gdańsk, Gdańsk Charity Foundation, Dermscan Poland).
New challenge
The new director is known to the MBA community of Gdańsk University of Technology. She is involved in the implementation of the MBA program as a lecturer (conducting courses: Business Negotiations & Conflict Resolution and Managerial Talent Diagnosis), as well as Quality Lead, responsible for the module: People Management & Self Development and coordinator of the Capstone Projects process.
– Since I have been working at the University, my mission is to support students by developing their interpersonal skills, awakening their curiosity and responsibility for themselves and the social environment in which they function. I believe in the value of cooperation based on trust. I value sensitivity in building relationships and reliability in achieving the goals we undertake. I am convinced that each of us has different talents and all we need is determination to develop them and courage to use them – says Beata Krawczyk-Bryłka, PhD.
The Director of the International MBA at Gdańsk Tech announced that one of the important elements of the new management strategy will be building a strong MBA community at Gdańsk University of Technology. The exchange of knowledge and experience between students, graduates and experts is a great value for all stakeholders. It is also important to integrate the participants of the MBA program with the environment of Gdańsk University of Technology, conduct discussions at the interface between science and business, and stimulate mutual development.
