PGZ SA and PGZ Stocznia Wojenna Ltd. concluded confidentiality agreements with the Marine Military Technologies Centre at Gdańsk University of Technology, which will enable the commencement of talks on the development of technologies for minimizing the physical fields of ships and unmanned underwater vehicles for the Polish Navy.

The signing of confidentiality agreements was necessary for the parties to start talks on cooperation in the implementation of projects for the Polish Navy. Details remain the secret of the parties.

– Gdańsk University of Technology is very interested in actively supporting the development of the Polish defense industry. For many years, we have been cooperating in this area with the Polish Navy and the Polish Armaments Group – said prof. Krzysztof Wilde, rector of Gdańsk University of Technology. – The agreement we have signed now confirms that our partnership is close and more and more effective. I am convinced that the conclusion of this agreement will contribute to both the efficient implementation of the Navy's programs, as well as the further development of the competences of our specialists from the Marine Military Technologies Centre of Gdańsk University of Technology.

– Polish Armaments Group wants to participate in the programs for the Polish Navy as much as possible. PGZ Stocznia Wojenna has all the necessary competences to participate in programs for the Navy. I am convinced that the cooperation of the domestic industry with Gdańsk University of Technology, having many years of experience in the field of demagnetization of ships and measurements of their physical fields, as well as unmanned underwater technologies, will bring an excellent effect in the form of world-class equipment for our Navy – emphasized Sebastian Chwałek, President of the Management Board of PGZ S.A.

– PGZ Stocznia Wojenna started implementing an ambitious program of transforming its infrastructure and work organization. It will allow the implementation of even the most technologically advanced projects. These are the next programs, after Miecznik (Swordfish), which - although they are at a very early stage - carry great development potential for the shipyard. I believe that in the next few years, demagnetization stations and other innovative underwater technologies will become important elements of our offer, not only for the Polish Navy – said Paweł Lulewicz, president of PGZ SW Ltd.

Currently, the Group is implementing a number of projects in the field of construction, renovation, servicing and repair of ships. In July 2021, a contract was signed for the delivery of three new type surface ships for the Polish Navy under the "Miecznik" Swordfish) program.
