Prof. Grzegorz Boczkaj among the most frequently cited scientists in the world | Gdańsk University of Technology

The list of Highly Cited Researchers, updated annually, includes scientists whose significant impact on their field of research is reflected in a particularly large number of citations by other authors of scientific publications. ​ The list includes the authors of many scientific articles that rank in the TOP 1% by citation for their fields and publication year according to Web of Science. This classification takes into account citations and publications from the past 11 years (in this case for the period 2012-2022). ​

Apart from Prof. Grzegorz Boczkaj from the Department of Sanitary Engineering at the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering, who was listed for the first time in the category of interdisciplinary research (cross-field), the latest ranking also included: Atanas G. Atanasov, PhD (Institute of Animal Genetics and Biotechnology, Polish Academy of Sciences), Prof. Andrzej Cichocki (Systems Research Institute, Polish Academy of Sciences), late Prof. Jacek Namieśnik (Gdańsk University of Technology), Prof. Piotr Ponikowski (Wrocław Medical University) and Prof. Piotr Rutkowski (M. Skłodowska-Curie National Research Institute of Oncology).
