OPEN UP! DARE TO! - VOL. 2: Movie screening - Value Conflict and Identity Crisis in the Face of Cultural Differences

We invite students and staff of Gdańsk University of Technology to join the next session of the intercultural competence development program “Open Up! Dare to!”. This time, we will explore the fascinating clash between Eastern and Western values. The central part of the event will be a screening of “The Farewell”, which will serve as a starting point for a discussion on cultural differences and identity formation in today’s globalized world.

After the screening, participants are invited to join a discussion with a film expert.

Registration for ENHANCE Dialogue Week 2026 is now open – an international initiative for students and staff of universities within the ENHANCE alliance.

Dialogue Week invites you to take part in a one-to-one, informal conversation with someone from another ENHANCE university. The meetings will take place between 4–10 May 2026, either online or in person.

Festival
The Foreign Language Centre at Gdańsk University of Technology invites the entire academic community to the Festival of Languages and Cultures, which will take place on 29 April 2026 in the Fahrenheit Courtyard.This event is a wonderful opportunity to explore linguistic and cultural diversity together, and to meet students and staff who share a passion for world cultures

The festival programme includes: • Presentations and workshops prepared by students and language teachers • Artistic performances and interactive activities • Quizzes with prizes and language booths • Special guest appearances We look forward to seeing all students and staff at this unique celebration of languages.
