Patent Attorneys Office | Gdańsk University of Technology

The Patent Attorneys Office supports the academic community of GUT in the field of industrial property rights by:

• conducting application proceedings with the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland for obtaining exclusive rights to hold: patents for inventions, rights to register industrial designs, rights to protect utility models, rights to protect trademarks,

• keeping central registers of patent applications for inventions and innovative solutions created at GUT,

• supervising exclusive rights granted to GUT,

• offering advice to academics, doctoral students and students of GUT on the protection of industrial property,

• organizing and holding trainings in the protection of industrial property,

• offering help in using patent databases,

• running the Patent Information Centre PATLIB and:

• collaborating with the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland

• collaborating with the European Patent Office

• propagating knowledge of intellectual property,

• offering access to and assistance with using the library of patent information (patent databases, juridical acts, jurisdiction, publications of patent offices),

• researching the potential of industrial property rights (investigating technology and patent potential),

• holding trainings in patent information.
