Nuclear Energy Center has been established | Gdańsk University of Technology

The Nuclear Energy Center (NEC) is a research and development unit of the Gdansk Tech. The NEC is involved in scientific research and development work in the field of nuclear energy. The NEC conducts research on nuclear reactors, nuclear materials, nuclear technologies and nuclear safety. The NEC is one of the largest nuclear power research centres in Poland. Nuclear power is a stable source of electricity, and the possibility of storing nuclear fuel for a long period of time improves the country's energy independence, hence the high priority of developing this area of science.
