Completion of postgraduate studies

Speech by the Professor Waldemar Kamrat during the diploma awarding ceremony.
On February 24, 2024, the first edition of the postgraduate program 'Nuclear Energy in the Modern Economy' concluded, with 33 participants receiving their diplomas.

The postgraduate program was conducted over two semesters (April-December 2023), with classes held in a hybrid format (in-person on Saturdays and online on Sundays). The program was led by PhD Eng. Marcin Jaskólski (Deputy Director of the Nuclear Energy Center), with lectures delivered by, among others, the President of the Energy Regulatory Office, the President of the National Atomic Energy Agency, the President of Polish Nuclear Power Plants, as well as a group of academic faculty from Gdańsk University of Technology and other national research and academic institutions (AGH, NCBJ, UMK).

The modern economy presents challenges in the form of energy transformation aimed at achieving zero-emission systems. One of the key technologies in this transformation is nuclear energy. The job market will require specialists with knowledge of the design, construction, and operation of nuclear power plants, as well as modern electricity generation systems.
