"Nuclear energy is something I view as an opportunity," emphasizes PhD Eng. Marcin Jaskólski, Deputy Director of the Nuclear Energy Center at Gdańsk University of Technology, in the latest episode of the podcast series 'Ściśle mówiąc!'.

In the second episode of 'Ściśle mówiąc!', PhD Eng. Marcin Jaskólski discusses, among other topics, plans for nuclear energy in Poland, the situation at power plants in Ukraine, lessons learned from the Fukushima disaster by the Japanese and others, as well as... TV series and how his dog helps him contribute to reducing CO2 emissions.

PhD Eng. Marcin Jaskólski works in the Department of Power Systems at the Faculty of Electrical and Control Engineering at Gdańsk University of Technology. He serves as the Rector's Plenipotentiary for Nuclear Energy and the Deputy Director of the Nuclear Energy Center at the university. In recent years, his research has focused on developing energy system models for electricity and heat generation, aimed at planning future development. He has also worked on system analysis methods for nuclear power plants with light-water reactors operating in partial cogeneration (simultaneous production of electricity and heat). He is the author of numerous publications in international journals and has contributed to the peer review process for prestigious journals such as Energy and Energy Policy. Additionally, he has participated in training internships at the French Atomic Energy Commission in Saclay and Electricité de France in Lyon.
